Publisher Participation
Ways publishers can participate:
- Submit titles to CatholicsRead
- Put the CatholicsRead logo and website address. Or, devote a special half page or three-quarters page in the Fall catalog with a short but exciting write-up about CatholicsRead and the titles they will be featuring.
- Feature the CatholicsRead logo on their website and provide a link from their website to the CatholicsRead site.
- Devote a special page on their website to the books they feature on the CBPA website.
- Display the CatholicsRead logo at conventions.
- Display their CatholicsRead features together in a special arrangement at conventions.
- Add CatholicsRead to the tag line they use on promotional materials.
- At the bottom of their e-mail signature, have a line about the CatholicsRead program.
- Voice message greetings could be use to mention the books they've featured in the CatholicsRead program.
- Develop billing/invoice inserts highlighting the CatholicsRead books.
- Develop package inserts highlighting the CatholicsRead books.
- Send their local diocesan paper a press release on the CatholicsRead books. Ask the diocesan paper to review the books in conjunction with National Bible Week in late November-early December.
- When someone calls into the switchboard and gets put on hold, have a rotating message to promote the CatholicsRead program.
- Hold drawing at conventions and giveaway the three books promoted in the CatholicsRead program.
- Have a special price on the three books featured in the CatholicsRead program. Offer bulk discounts to encourage parish/group use.
- Many companies not only publish books but periodicals as well. Place ads in their in-house magazines.
- Run feature articles in their in-house periodicals and e-zines on their website to support a bible reading program like CatholicsRead.
- Develop ads with endorsements for these books.
- Mention in on-line newsletters.
- Encourage group discussion among employees about the three books of the Bible.
- Host online chatrooms with the authors of the three books a publisher features.
- Have the CBPA (with the publishers' support) could provide full-color posters that the stores could use in their display.
