How bookstores can participate:
- Develop a special mailing to customers on the CatholicsRead books they sell in their store.
- Host special reading or in-store discussions on the various books featured in the CatholicsRead program.
- Host special events (3 or 4 times a year?) for CatholicsRead: author lectures, children's bible story hours, possible lectio-type sessions. Advertise the events in parish bulletins, diocesan papers. Offer discounts on selected scripture titles.
- Host book signings of some of the authors whose books are featured in the CatholicsRead program.
- Contact parishes in their area about the CatholicsRead program and the books that they stock in the program.
- Do a fax mailing to local parishes listing the books you are carrying.
- Set up a small display in their store with the CatholicsRead books and logo.
- For bookstores that do parish book exhibits, organize such Bible displays during weekend Masses in November.
- Feature the CatholicsRead logo in their store window.
- If they have a website, devote a special page to the CatholicsRead books.
- If they produce a catalog, list the CatholicsRead books in a special section. Or, feature the CatholicsRead logo by those books throughout their catalog.
- Develop billing/invoice inserts with the CatholicsRead books.
- Contact their local diocesan paper to feature the CatholicsRead books.
